Switchboard Health, a health tech startup building a unified network of virtual specialty care providers, announces today the hiring of Matt Vestal as vice president of network development. In his role, Matt will lead commercial activities including specialty care partnerships and new business development.  

Matt brings 15 years of healthcare technology business development experience including roles with Sg2, Cerner Corporation, and one of the nation’s largest direct primary care providers, where he co-designed a specialty network and care navigation strategy. 

“Matt’s extensive, well-rounded experience enables him to view healthcare challenges – and more importantly their solutions – through a wide-angle lens,” said Switchboard’s Co-founder and CEO Derek Baird. “This, combined with his authentic passion for improving specialty care, makes him a dream fit. Based in Denver, Matt serves as an adjunct faculty member with the University of Denver's healthcare management program. He teaches multiple classes including Digital Health & Telehealth, Healthcare Leadership & Communication and Organizational Behavior & Design in Healthcare. 

Matt graduated with a master's in healthcare administration from Ohio State University where he currently sits on the program's alumni board of directors.
